De missie van het ICC is het verbeteren van de kwaliteit van leven van IBD-patiënten door wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar de pathogenese van IBD en door ontwikkeling en toepassing van nieuwe therapieën (zorginnovatie).
In november 2009 is de richtlijn Diagnostiek en behandeling van inflammatoire darmziekten bij volwassenen uitgekomen.
Belangstellenden kunnen de richtlijn opvragen via het secretariaat van het ICC (zie 'contact' boven aan deze pagina).
